The perfect combination of utility and performance, Dartex's MelaphosFR Fire resistant fabrics combine the hard-wearing, waterproof properties of the MelaphosFR mattress fabrics with the high fire performance of the fire-stop membranes.
Products are available in a range of colours and surface finishes including leather-look.
In a fire the fabrics protect in several key ways:

Flame retardant gasses are released to slow the fire

Non-flammable gasses are released to dilute the flames

Heat is absorbed to cool the fire
- A stable char is developed to protect lower layers from the fire and burning debris
