Promoting Textile Manufacturing in Rhode Island Through New Industry Initiative

We are delighted to be members of the Rhode Island Textile Innovation Network, a collaborative organisation with the aim of making Rhode Island the center for advanced and innovative textile manufacturing in the United States. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
On Monday 24 September, the official launch took place at the historic Slater Mill in Pawtucket, RI where members of the national press and textile manufacturing members came together to discuss plans for growing the industry and creating jobs.
 
Developed by Democratic US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and the University of Rhode Island Business Engagement Center, our Technical Manager Adelyn Hill has been heavily involved in helping this initiative get off the ground.
 
“It is really important that local textile manufacturers come together to help safeguard the future of our industry’, Adelyn said. ‘There are lots of opportunities for young people looking to carve out a career in textile manufacturing, and RITIN will be instrumental in helping to grow the industry.’
