Controlled Air Permeability

Powershield® and Windbloc ACT ® - two Polartec laminate offerings where Dartex Coatings engineer in controlled air permeability, for use especially in active pastimes, such as skiing, climbing or hiking.

• Controlled Air Permeability

Through our patented process a controlled amount of air is allowed to pass through the fabric and garment at low rates (usually 5-10cfm), to dissipate heat and perspiration, whilst keeping you still warm.

• Stretch and recovery

An active body fit, even for extreme situations, to ease motion and promote comfort. Essential to an active outdoors enthusiast.

• Keeps you Dry

Although not 100% waterproof in lab conditions, actually in wear, the adhesive membrane and durable water repellent finish of Powershield® combine with your body heat to keep you dry in active use.

• Abrasion Resistance

The stretch woven outer face of Powershield ® is highly abrasion resistant, preventing snagging and enhancing the fabrics’ durability.

• Soft Shell

It may be an over-used term, but the Powershield® laminated at Dartex Coatings genuinely meets all the criteria – who needs a hard, rigid outer layer now?
